Match report

A hat trick by second rower Isaac Schmidt and a perfect five goals from Svein Åge Breimoen saw Norway defeat Sweden 30-20 in the final game of the 2015 Nordic Cup, in Bislett, Oslo.

The visitors led 16-6 at the break, tries to Paul Briggs, Pontas Eriksson and Jenne Johansson by the half-hour, Johansson’s second score in the 69th minute giving Sweden an eight point lead.

But Schmidt’s genuine hat trick try cut the gap to two points and late touchdowns for Cam Leslie and man of the match, loose forward Joshua Skidmore-Hornby - as Sweden ran out of fit men - saw Norway home and gain runners up spot to cup winners Denmark.
